Title: Workers’ Compensation Paralegal

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: Seeking enthusiastic, highly organized, detail-oriented, people person with solid communication skills, multi-tasking abilities, and excellent computer skills to join our workers’ compensation legal team.

Qualifications: A college degree, licensed paralegal, with 3-5 years experience in handling complex workers’ compensation claims.

Required skills include: Proficiency in case management software, preferably Needles; proficiency with office software, including Word Perfect, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; demonstrable proficiency with the NC Industrial Commission Rules as they pertain to filing pleadings, certificates of service, subpoenas, interrogatories, requests for production, depositions, mediations, and hearings; previous direct responsibility for drafting all claim related correspondence, pleadings, and NC Industrial Commission Forms, drafting and responding to written discovery requests, and scheduling all aspects of depositions, mediations, and hearings; demonstrable proficiency in document acquisition and management; demonstrably proficiency in analyzing and summarizing medical records; superior time management skills; and last, superior communication skills that allow empathetic and compassionate communication with our Clients while maintaining the ability to direct them and obtain their cooperation throughout all phases of the workers’ compensation process.
